What exactly is a New Years Resolution? A New Years Resolution is a list of promises, preferences, and demands a person will create at the end of the year and try to push themselves to accomplish. At the end of December, most individuals will get on the bandwagon with saying that a new year is coming up and they have to become a new person.

The New Years Resolution allows people to become perfectionists and make themselves believe that they will accomplish everything they have wrote down on their list. I would rather call the News Years Resolution another name for a Bucket List.

The News Years Resolution will not work for everyone because some people might not even have the desire to accomplish any of the things they wrote down on their list. I think creating a list of the things you would like to accomplish in life is excellent, but you have to be able to accept the fact that some goals you will complete and other goals might be delayed or never occur.

You may have your life planned out, but life does not always go the way we plan it to go. There are going to be obstacles you are going to have to jump through to reach your goals. Opportunities do not just fall out of the sky, you most likely have to be at the right place and at the right time.

It can be so easy to get discouraged when feel as though when you do not reach a specific goal, but maybe there was a reason as to why you did not achieve the goal yet. You can’t compare your life to others because what was meant for them, may not be meant for you to achieve in your life.

There are millions of ways to be successful in life. There is no one way how to achieve your short -term and long-term goals. The News Years should be a time where people you should appreciate and be grateful that they get to see a new year. Actions speak louder than words, don’t waste time creating a list of things just so you can tell others that you are going to be a changed individual in the new year.

Many people want to have the accolades and rewards, but they really do not want to put in any work to make their dreams their reality. Hard work takes persistency and dedication. You have to constantly challenge yourself on a day to day basis to acquire as much knowledge as you can.

What are you really learning from your life experiences if all you are in search of is what others can give you. Don’t look to others for guidance because many will likely push you in the wrong direction. The only person you can depend on is you. If you want to have a new job, lose weight, move to another country, get married, and etc what re you doing to prepare yourself for all of the things you want to do.

If you want to see progress in your life then that means you have to change some aspects of your daily routine or change your behavioral traits. There is nothing wrong with traditions, but some traditions are outdated.

The New Years Resolution is just another trend created by the mass media to influence people to believe they need to create list of goals to prosper in life. You do not have to make a list of things you want to do in life because maybe everything on your list is distracting you on focusing on what’s going on currently in your life.

There is nothing wrong with having dreams and aspirations, but you have to actually put in work to see change occur. Rome was not built in a day. It will take time and patience before you see satisfying results. The dilemma that several people are facing that they give up too fast and think things are suppose to happen within a blink of an eye, but life does not work that way.

Life will always have some curves that you need to be able to handle and not get so frustrated when things are not going your way. I’m sure there are plenty of individuals who want to just throw the towel in and just quit, but you do not learn anything from quitting. You have to learn how to be a conquerer in life and just appreciate all you have accomplish already.

The end of the year does not mean your journey is ending. Each year you should strive to do better than you did the previously year. Don’t allow yourself to have the New Years syndrome just until January strive to do as much as you can all throughout the year. Don’t wait to the end of the year to change, change can happen at any time.
